The elements of the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Tartous organized 79 catering controls, during the past three days, and 16 commercial activities were closed.

And the Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Tartous, Bashar Shaddoud, told SANA reporter that the seizures varied between organizing 10 seizures against bread agents in Baniyas, Al-Drakish, Sheikh Badr, Safita and Tartous region, and the fines exceeded 5 million Syrian pounds.

The seizures included a carpentry workshop for violating trading in subsidized diesel, fines exceeding 4.5 million pounds, a sweets factory for violating the use of expired materials, recycling previously manufactured sweets, unfit for human consumption, and two seizures were organized against two facilities for the manufacture and renewal of plastic granules and household appliances in violation Failure to provide a statement of cost and circulation of invoices.

Shaddud pointed out that the seizures were recorded against cars distributing tourist bread, cosmetics, and citrus fruits for violations of not keeping a car bill book, in addition to the seizures of cars distributing foodstuffs, cheese and sweets, for violating restrictions on transporting goods, transporting them in unrefrigerated cars, and issuing irregular invoices.

The seizures were also affected according to the severity of many activities, including violations of over-price selling of eggs, legumes, vegetables, fruits, mate, chicken and canned goods, possession and display of meat without refrigeration, lack of a specification card on bags of citrus, lack of a specification card on clothing, and refraining from performing service for two servers. In Safita and Al-Drekish, receiving excessive wages and possessing irregular purchase invoices, and not possessing purchase invoices with various foodstuffs and haberdashery items.

Shadoud pointed out that 16 commercial activities were closed, including eight, with violations of selling at an excessive price, not possessing purchase invoices, possession of expired materials, closing three petrol stations in Tartous and Safita, violating the use of reserve gasoline and outside the card system, and closing five laboratories, including swimming pool cleaners, with a violation of non-compliance. The presence of a specification card, a tahini factory in the Tartous area with a violation of trading in materials not intended for sale, an ice factory, a nylon bag factory and an aluminum workshop for a violation of non-circulation of invoices.
