The Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev stressed that the United States and Britain are trying to provoke new conflicts, including in the vicinity of nuclear powers such as Russia and China, for fear of losing their global hegemony.

Patrushev said during a security conference held today in Sevastopol in the Crimea: “The policy of excessive self-confidence and selfishness of the Anglo-American duo creates many hotbeds of tension in different regions of the world, and puts many countries and peoples in successive crises,” noting that the United States and Britain By provoking conflicts, as they did after the two world wars, they are trying to solve once again the accumulated problems of their economy, including the huge public debt that has reached more than 30 trillion dollars in the United States.

He pointed out that it is important for them to increase instability and push Europe to confront Russia, stressing that the goal is to suppress Russia, maintain their imaginary superiority and dominate a unipolar world, and ensure an opportunity for themselves to live at the expense of others.

Patrushev stated that "Russia is interested in ridding Ukraine of neo-Naziism, so that its population can live in peace and stability, and for this reason the West tried to thwart all attempts to negotiate on the orders of the American sponsors of the Kyiv regime."

On the other hand, Patrushev stated that sabotaging the Nord Stream pipelines will have great consequences for the population of Europe, and said: “The orchestrated sabotage of the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines is nothing but an act of international terrorism, the consequences of which could be great for the population of Europe,” considering that “The United States is the principal economic beneficiary of this action.”

On the situation in Crimea, Patrushev said that the number of crimes committed has increased significantly in Crimea, and this necessarily requires “the development of anti-terror plans in line with the level of terrorist threats and the increase in the efficiency of implementing the measures stipulated therein.”
