Director of the Asia Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Nikolai Nozdriev said that the line of strengthening NATO's capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region using multiple tools has become blatantly apparent.
"This issue emerged clearly after the NATO summit last June in the Spanish capital Madrid and its decisions regarding the globalization of the organization's area of responsibility," Nozdreev said in an interview with Sputnik, noting that the region there is based on regional partners such as Australia, Japan, South Korea and New Zealand.
"NATO members and their partners are brainwashing regional actors using different schemes and in a coordinated manner," Nozdrev explained.
