A 34-year-old man, arrested on Saturday October 1 after a shooting in a bar in Grenoble followed by a chase with the police, was indicted and then imprisoned on Tuesday, the city prosecutor's office said.
The suspect, presented to an investigating judge at the end of his police custody, is being prosecuted for "
attempted murders by an organized gang and on persons holding public authority
", specified in a press release the deputy prosecutor of the Republic, Boris Duffau.

," added the magistrate, explaining that the 30-year-old, injured in his shoulder after the shots of the police who were pursuing him, had been placed "
in medical pre-trial detention
".
Saturday morning, aboard a large stolen German sedan, the suspect and three of his accomplices attacked a bar in the Saint-Bruno district by shooting in front of the establishment.
The vehicle was then chased by the police to the Harlequin district, where it came to a stop.
The four individuals then fled, and the main suspect then turned against the police who were pursuing him and allegedly targeted them with his Kalashnikov.
They allegedly fired three times, wounding him.
Transferred to the hospital without vital prognosis, the 30-year-old is known to the courts in particular for theft, concealment and possession of narcotics, according to the prosecution.
Two investigations were opened, the first entrusted to the judicial police of Grenoble and the second to the IGPN of Lyon relating to the shootings of the police.
