The cultural station in Jaramana held a critical symposium that dealt with the poetry collection, The Grapes of Love, by poet Wafaa Shukair.
In turn, the poet Etab Al-Saad, during the symposium yesterday, delivered a number of the group’s texts and commented on their meanings and interpretation of what she was aiming for. She drew attention to the beauty of literary images in the texts, indicating that the poet Wafa was able to transform prose into poetic cases and then presented a definition for each participant in the symposium.
The poet Wafaa Shukair, who is celebrated in her collection, presented a number of poetic texts included in the collection, based on the diversification of topics that were dominated by love, humanity and sincere feminine passion.
The poet Nabough Asaad said that Shukair, in her texts, showed that man can create time and happiness, and that love is able to change the laws of nature despite its difficult and angry philosophy.
The poet Shadia Al-Hamou believed that Shukair depends on purity of soul, honesty and love, and the most important thing the poet depends on is drawing with words, while the researcher Nabila pointed out that the poet presents her texts spontaneously, expressing their meanings with many artistic projections.
The young artist, Samah Abu Ras, performed a variety of songs from the original era on the violin.
