Torchlight procession against increasing railway noise

He is the pioneer among the rail noise opponents in the district of Ebersberg and he is not giving up in his fight for more noise protection even in the fifth year of its existence: the working group railway noise in Kirchseeon.  

Kirchseeon – "But we're running out of time!" This is how Susanne Höpler recently appealed at the AK meeting in Kirchseeoner Café Zam.

The working group founder is happy that at least 20 people are present, but she also knows that the public must be mobilized at a high level in the long term.

This happened recently through the founding of a new alliance, "Bürgerinitiative Brennernordzulauf Ebersberg district".

One of their representatives was a guest at Café Zam, probably also to clarify the "spheres of influence" among themselves.

"We don't get involved," says Alexander Hoepler, who chairs the meeting.

He means the dispute between the Ebersbergers about the routing of the northern feeder of the Brenner, i.e. new territory.

In Kirchseeon it is about noise protection on existing tracks, down to Trudering.

Because the Deutsche Bahn refuses to take measures on the existing route as with new tracks.

And Alexander Höpler can't really hear it anymore (sic!) Better on site than with a sheet of paper in the ATSV hall, he challenges his fellow combatants to visible activities, such as an inspection along the railway line: With posters should go from the station to point out the problems and demands at the station, also with loudspeakers, make noise;

this fall.

According to the AK founder, many useful contacts and know-how have been gathered.

And yes, the public reacted positively to the last major event in Kirchseeon.

But that would level off again, his wife Susanne knows.

The same applies to the politicians, who perceive the pressure from the population.

"These are our voters!", but it hasn't really done anything for Kirchseeon's concerns.

Nevertheless, Alexander Höpler wants to step on the gas again: A torchlight procession would be desirable, this year from Kathreinmarkt to Zorneding, that's his plan.

In addition, the drum had to be beaten even more properly on the social channels.

We appreciate the fact that local politicians like Mayor Jan Paeplow have supporters.

He seems to be in close contact with the neighboring communities.

The fact remains: More and more freight trains towards Munich would be coming on four tracks, which would then be merged onto two tracks and cause corresponding noise in the market town and the surrounding area.

But the Deutsche Bahn has, according to its own statement, "redeveloped" Kirchseeon, as the municipal councilor Höpler put it.

Thanks to the Wall, it is said that that would be more than in Zorneding... We want people to take to the streets and exert pressure, the working group concluded.
