The general secretary of the party hides behind the call for neutrality made by the electoral syndicate of the formation

The former president of the Parliament, Laura Borràs, follows the plenary session from the guest box, this Wednesday.Albert Garcia

Climate of schism in the dome of Junts per Catalunya.

The ERC partners in the Executive begin tomorrow, Thursday, the consultation with their bases on the continuity or not in the Government coalition and the appointment of internal participation begins with a contradictory message from its leadership.

While the president Laura Borràs has communicated through Twitter that she will vote against remaining in the Generalitat, her

number two

, Jordi Turull, has chosen not to make the meaning of his vote public, arguing that he is thus following the recommendations appealing to the neutrality of the organic and institutional positions of the party made this Wednesday by the syndicate that guarantees the transparency of the process.

Last Friday, Turull had promised to make his position public.

"I can't put myself in profile," he had said.

Before the announcement of the syndicate, dozens of positions had communicated what they intend to vote.

Since the referendum was called last Monday, social networks and messaging groups among militants have burned with messages in favor of each of the options.

The two most anticipated positions, that of Borràs and that of Turull, have arrived this Wednesday but have led to confusion among the party's ranks and pushed the formation into the abyss.

In the corridors of Parliament, where the control session was held for the

president

Pere Aragonès, the most recurrent theme in the huddles was the account of which first Junts swords were located in which block.

The party's spokesman, Josep Rius;

two of its vice presidents, Aurora Madaula and Francesc de Dalmases or the deputy Jaume Alonso Cuevillas, had already expressed the same position.

Puigdemont has not done so directly, but he has retweeted messages to that effect.

But these cabals have been interrupted by a statement from the Junts electoral union.

In them they recommended to the high organic and institutional positions that they refrain from using those tribunes to campaign for one or another option.

Despite this, Borràs has made public his rejection of continuing to share a coalition with ERC.

He has communicated it via Twitter, arguing that he prefers to leave the Executive for "coherence and respect for the Junts voters and the independentist voters of 14-F".

"I will vote No to stay in a Government that we have certified does not advance nationally and therefore does not guarantee our progress as a society," she deepened in a tweet with a photo that showed her speaking from a lectern with the party's logo.

The leader herself communicated the meaning of her vote in the consultation shortly after Pere Aragonès,

After that message, the syndicate has sent a new statement, in which it has asked that the logos and colors of Junts not be used, assuring that this could generate confusion among the militancy and make it understood that it was an official position and not a personal one. .

And, later, also via Twitter, Turull has explained that he will not finally communicate what he will vote, to respect what the guarantee body of the consultation has determined.

"I put the neutrality claimed by the electoral syndicate at the service of cohesion and the strengthening of this great collective project that is Junts", he has written.

Last Monday, in the presentation of the consultation, the

number two

of the party had been vehement in stating that it would take a stand.

"A secretary general cannot be profiled," he had assured.

The positioning of both leaders encourages the air of rupture also within Junts.

Borràs will have a very difficult time continuing as president if her option is defeated.

Turull, not having spoken publicly, will have an easier time surviving the pothole, regardless of the option he wins.

The crisis between the partners of the Government has planned throughout the plenary session "I want this Government to continue and I say it very clearly: it has done a very good job in a short time", said the

president

after the intervention of Albert Batet, head of rows of Junts.

However, the leader of the Government has demanded a 100% delivery from his partner and that this provision is not limited only to the directors.

“It must be supported with all the will of co-responsibility, mutual respect and maximum institutional loyalty that we can never lose”, he added, one day after Borràs referred to the coalition as a “fraudulent government”.

During his intervention in the control session, Aragonès has been conciliatory with his partners and with their demands, such as coordination in Congress in matters that concern the Government, although he has reiterated that nothing can be imposed .

“We need to be able to tackle it properly.

Obviously, an agreement that in 15 days we will be the same again would not help, ”he has concisely warned a formation in full swing and in the midst of a spontaneous campaign in which many of his cadres have positioned themselves in favor of continue or not in the Government.

Aragonès has given that image of rapprochement, but at the same time he is preparing all the scenarios in case Junts leaves the cabinet.

That is not the intention of the majority of the six councilors affected, who have taken part in the session (Victòria Alsina, from Foreign Action, or Lourdes Ciuró, from Justice) without mentioning the crisis unleashed by Junts' request that

the

president

submitted to a question of confidence and he responded by dismissing

Vice President

Jordi Puigneró.

Only the Minister of Research and Universities, Gemma Geis, who has assumed the Territory portfolio left vacant by Puigneró after being dismissed, has refused to answer a question from the PSC about transport in the Anoia region.

Geis has told Alba Vergés, acting president of the Chamber, that she had already announced that she would not answer that question from the control session to the Government in the absence of Puigneró.

The counselor, related to Puigdemont, has cleared the landscape a bit by revealing later that if there is no coordination in Congress between the two partners, she does not see herself in the mood to continue being a counselor of Universities because she will not be able to do her job with guarantees.

To questions from her own group, Geis has warned of the need to defend the Catalan university law.

"As a counselor, if we do not comply with the Government's agreements and I cannot guarantee that we are going to Madrid with the strength to defend the Catalan university system, working in complicity, I do not see myself capable of continuing with my task as a counselor," she concluded.
