Why not?

In almost all of Bavaria, summer comes back at the beginning of October.

The weather in Bavaria is rarely stable, persistent and warm at the start of October.

Only on the Danube does an old acquaintance say hello.

The people from Regensburg, from Passau, from Ingolstadt - they all know what's coming.

In the coming days, plenty of sun and mild temperatures await us throughout Bavaria - in the south on Wednesday even up to 24 degrees according to the German Weather Service (DWD).

All of Bavaria?

No, a not-so-small river that flows right through the Free State ensures a well-known weather phenomenon there: deep, dreary autumn fog.

Weather in Bavaria: Summer is coming back - and staying, except on the Danube

But from the beginning: It's finally here, the golden autumn.

A stable high stretches from central to southern Europe, scooping increasingly mild air into Bavaria.

The sun is already showing up in many places on Tuesday with a maximum temperature of 18 degrees.

On Wednesday, the thermometer in the foothills of the Alps should even climb up to 24 degrees in the shade.

Thanks to the dry, high-pressure air and the stark contrast to the stormy constant rain in the south, these mild temperatures should feel twice as warm to us.

Also because there is only a mild wind blowing from the southwest.

Weather forecast for Bavaria: Plenty of sun in the south, more cloudy and foggy in the north

And according to the current status, it should remain so for the time being, with Bavaria becoming increasingly divided in terms of weather.

In the coming days, the maximum temperatures will always be in southern Bavaria from the Inn via the Chiemgau to the eastern edge of the Alps.

In the north it stays fresher, cooler, wetter, windier.

It stays particularly fresh under a thick blanket of fog on the Danube.

It is difficult to predict when and whether this will always disappear over the course of the day.

At least for Wednesday, however, according to the DWD and other meteorologists, there is a high chance that it will disappear in the early morning hours and that the beautiful Danube cities will also shine in the autumn sun.

Denser fog on the Danube is only expected on Friday.

Sun is guaranteed only at higher altitudes and at the edge of the Alps.

But even if the temperature trend on Saturday in Bavaria moves down a bit again.

According to the current status and according to the DWD, the high-pressure weather should remain for the time being.

Means: plenty of sun in Munich and sun over the Danube fog in Regensburg.
