The death of a young woman causes horror in Aschau im Chiemgau.

A soko determined - named after the club where the 23-year-old was last seen.

Aschau – The shock after the death of a young woman is great in Aschau.

Mayor Simon Frank probably speaks to the soul of the whole community when he says: "It literally pulls the rug out from under you.

What remains is a mixture of sadness, anger and bewilderment.” A condolence corner for the 23-year-old who was killed has been set up in the town hall, and the people of Aschau can put their grief into words in a book of condolences.

Aschau: 23-year-old seen around 2.30 a.m. - twelve hours later the body was found

The young woman comes from a long-established family and was well known in the village with almost 6,000 inhabitants, even though she last studied abroad and only came home during the semester breaks.

She worked in a boarding house and, like hundreds of others, was looking forward to the so-called "seasonal opening" of the local club "Eiskeller".

The eventual victim was last seen leaving the club around 2:30 a.m. Monday morning.

Around twelve hours later, her body was found nine kilometers away in the Prien river.

The on-site search for clues is still ongoing.

It is planned that divers will be deployed in the Prien.

For this purpose, special forces from the Dachau riot police are requested.

Among the guests was Christina K. (24) from Rosenheim, who visited the club with two friends that evening.

"It's so bad, I got really sick reading that," she says.

She and her friends reached the club around 11:30 p.m. and waited around half an hour in the pouring rain to be admitted.

"It was very crowded that evening."

As of Wednesday morning, the special commission had already received more than 30 tips.

"At first glance, there was nothing particularly interesting, but we are still checking everything in detail," explains police spokesman Stefan Sonntag from the Oberbayern-Süd police headquarters.

The police have great hopes for the call for witnesses, which has now been extended with a request for photo and video material from the party night in the "Eiskeller".

All image material from the party night can be sent to the police via a QR code or an upload platform.

"Anyone who was in the ice cellar, we ask that you leave the data to us," adds police spokesman Sunday.

“Maybe there is something that will help us.

The more the better."

As another important component of the investigation, the police spokesman calls the viewing of the video material that has already been secured - several 100 gigabytes, as Stefan Sonntag explains.

"Very complex and time-consuming, the colleagues watch everything with great concentration." The chances of gaining insights into the evening in this way could be good - because the "Eiskeller" club is equipped with a whole series of cameras, like the club owner Markus Wonderfully explained.

"We have cameras in the entrance area and at the counter." All the material was handed over to the police.

In addition, the Soko have already heard the staff and the manager.

With a large contingent, the police searched for traces on the Prien River on Tuesday.

Wunderlich himself was not present at the re-opening.

But he is shocked, speaks of a "very tragic story".

The deceased was a welcome guest at the club.

"Some of our employees knew her and her family, we are very affected." This is also the reason why the "Eiskeller" will in all probability not open next Saturday, October 8th, for the time being.
