Sixteen people were killed and 20 others injured, when a passenger bus overturned in the Bara district of Nepal today.
Local media quoted a police spokesman as saying that the bus, carrying 51 passengers, was heading to the southern city of Birgunj from Hetauda when the accident occurred on a highway, killing 16 people and injuring 20 others.
Initial investigations indicated that the accident was caused by excessive speed.
