An ambulance bus for the rescue of Jews was damaged this weekend by a Russian missile that exploded near it, while it was parked near the central train station of the city of Dnipro in central Ukraine.
2 crew members who were sleeping when the bus-ambulance was hit were miraculously saved, but they were terrified and needed first aid on the spot.

The injured vehicle is part of a fleet of 6 double-decker ambulance buses, one of which is operated by the "Federation of Jewish Communities in Ukraine" with the assistance of Georgi Gabinski - a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
They were purchased at the beginning of the war, equipped with beds intended for the sick and elderly, and since then have been used on a daily basis with the assistance of medical personnel, for long rescue trips from the cities in the east of the country, including Kharkov, Izium, Krivirog, as well as the capital city of Kyiv and other centers.
Most of the time, the evacuees are transferred to the huge refugee camp established by the "Federation of Communities" on the shore of Lake Belton in Hungary, or to the airports of Warsaw in Poland and Chisinau in Moldova, from where they are flown to Israel.
The bus-ambulance that was hit was damaged on its right side and in the front - and its windshields were smashed and cracked.
Much damage was caused to cars and other property in the area where the Russian missile hit.
In recent weeks, Dnipro has been bombarded several times a week, although at the beginning of the war it was fairly quiet.
According to Rabbi Meir Stambler, Chabad emissary and chairman of the "Federation of Communities": "Only by a miracle were there no bodily harm in this incident and we are afraid of the future. The war is escalating and the panic is increasing and so is the flow of requests for rescues to us. Since the beginning of the war we have rescued about 40 thousand Jews by various means - including on trains that we specially hired. The damage to the bus-ambulance will hinder the rescues, until we repair the damage, but we continue our activities together with the rabbis of the cities and Chabad messengers.
As long as there are Jews here who need us - we are here by their side."
And in the meantime, in the "Federation of Jewish Communities in Ukraine" we are preparing for a massive rescue of Jews from the 4 Ukrainian districts that are supposed to be annexed to Russia.
