The municipality wants to be prepared for possible energy bottlenecks in winter.

At the Allinger citizens' meeting, the head of the town hall, Stefan Joachimsthaler (CSU), reported on the preparations being made for longer power outages.

Alling - Emergency power generators are to be kept ready for the public buildings - town hall, school, sports hall - as well as for the pumps of the waterworks.

The generators should still be bought by yourself or borrowed from a farmer.

Where the fuel for the devices will come from has not yet been clarified.

In extreme cases, the supply of heating energy could become more difficult.

"If we run out of gas, we all have a problem," said Joachimsthaler.

But he spoke of an "emergency heating operation" and a possible "warming room" for freezing Allinger.

However, the mayor also warned against panic, one only wants to be prepared for the worst.

And as far as food storage is concerned, people here in the country are better equipped anyway.

In front of only 30 listeners in the community center and about as many who were there online, Joachimsthaler also mentioned less critical developments.

The shell of the children's home is supposed to be up this year - "if no one goes bankrupt" - according to the previous orders, the costs are 15 percent higher than the estimated costs.

The renovation of the water network, which has been completed except for an emergency line, is cheaper.

The improvement contributions received so far are sufficient, additional payments are no longer required.

The Allingers hardly had any questions.

The distribution boxes for the fiber optic network are only built on public land, not on private property, as some feared.

Criticism was raised about the scheduling of the seniors' citizens' meeting, to which 55-year-olds (i.e. those who are still working) are invited, but which begins at 3 p.m.

A telephone malfunction after a lightning strike was addressed.

Despite several repair attempts, this has not yet been resolved.

"How do you get close to the big Telekom group?" said the mayor resignedly.

In his almost one and a half hour lecture, he drew a pleasing picture of post-corona life in Alling.

Accompanied by many photos, in which mostly the head of the town hall himself smiled into the camera, there was talk of the Easter bunny, who had come to the town hall, of the Stadtradel challenge cup, which one will not let go of anymore, of the ground-breaking ceremony for the children's home, at which " Mr. Aiwanger was in a great mood" and about the "wonderful speech of His Royal Highness" at the opening of the Hoflach exhibition.

After two and a half years in office, Joachimsthaler said: "It's still fun, it's a great thing to be mayor." (OLF PASCHEN)
