There was a suspected "kidnapping" in Chai Wan yesterday (6th) night. A woman reported to the police that her son was suspected of being taken away in handcuffs by 4 big men in the apartment. The arrest on suspicion of criminal intimidation is not an incident of kidnapping or unlawful confinement.
It is understood that the male victim in the case had previously separated from his wife. Yesterday, someone claimed to have asked the two daughters to move back, otherwise they would hurt their son. The wife was alarmed and called the police, and the police went to the door to investigate and detain the person.
Later, the male victim's mother returned home and found that her son was missing. The neighbors learned that her son was suspected of being taken away, so she called the police for help.

According to the source, the arrested 38-year-old male victim has two daughters and a son with his 36-year-old wife. He originally lived with his mother's family of six in the Wanpan House unit of Chai Wan Village.
Earlier, the male victim and his wife separated after an argument. His wife and two daughters, aged 17 and 15, moved away, while the 11-year-old son continued to live with the male victim.
Until yesterday, someone contacted the eldest daughter, claiming that they asked the two sisters to move back, otherwise they would hurt the son. The daughter then informed the mother, and the mother was alarmed when she heard the news.
Detectives from the Eastern District Criminal Investigation Team received the report and went to the door to investigate and found that the male victim's son was not injured. After investigation, the male victim was arrested and taken back to Chai Wan Police Station for detention.
At about 11 o'clock in the evening, the male victim's mother returned home and found that her son was nowhere to be found. The phone call was unsuccessful, so she asked the neighbors.
Uniformed police officers arrived at the scene and after investigation, it was confirmed that the male victim was arrested by the police earlier and that the incident did not involve kidnapping, and the case was later changed to "Miscellaneous".
