On the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the October Liberation War, Homs Governorate honored a number of veterans in honor of their sacrifices and heroism in the battle of honor and dignity, in the governorate’s garden.
The Governor of Homs, Engineer Namir Makhlouf, indicated that the Tishreen Liberation War is a shining station and a cause for pride for all Arabs and Syrians over the generations, praising the sacrifices of the ideological heroes of the Syrian Arab Army, which preserved the meanings of dignity and pride.
Makhlouf pointed out that receiving and honoring a number of members of the Veterans Association participating in the October liberation war was an opportunity to listen to them, and to return a small part of the favor they offered from heroic deeds on the fronts.
In a statement to SANA reporter, a number of honored veterans expressed their pride and sense of pride because they carried the banner of victory to the generations. Brigadier General Fateh Darbouli, a member of the Veterans Association, said: The Tishreen Liberation War is one of the achievements of the glorious corrective movement led by the founding leader Hafez al-Assad. The Arab soldier has his dignity, and the Arab nation has its dignity.
While retired Colonel Suleiman Al-Ali expressed his pride in the honor of participating in the Tishreen war and receiving a medal for the heroism he achieved, as the war changed the scales and our heroic army achieved the great victory, while the retired Brigadier General Mustafa Al-Sinni explained that the Tishreen Liberation War is a bright page in the history of the Arab nation and the Syrians.
