Landsberg – It just plays better for the Riverkings at home – even if the victory is just about the stage.
This is what happened on Wednesday evening when the Landsbergers met EHC Klostersee.
The players under coach Sven Curmann started with a lot of energy, but they couldn't keep it up.
The tight final score: 5:4.
The Riverkings started with a lot of speed and created several chances.
However, the first goal fell for the EHC.
Because the Landsbergers could not keep up their pace and completely lost the thread after the first goal conceded.
The Riverkings kept losing the puck due to a much too complicated structure and an attacking game that was planned too complex.
And when the disc was lost again on the opponent's blue line, HCL goalkeeper Michael Güßbacher slipped a harmless shot from Julian Dengl through the savers after a counterattack: 0:2 at the break.
The Riverkings started the second third with more pull towards the goal and a simpler, more straightforward game forward, which Klostersee could sometimes only counter with a foul.
In the 25th minute, Florian Stauder used a rebound after a shot by Riley Stadel to make it 1:2.
And less than three minutes later, Patrik Rypar sunk a hard shot in the Kreuzeck to make it 2:2 and in the 33rd minute Dennis Neal was able to extend the lead for guest goalkeeper Philipp Hähl to a 3:2 lead.
The 35th minute brought the goal to 4:2.
Florian Stauder, outnumbered, scored ice-cold after a shot by Stadel.
The Riverkings' concentration decreased again in the last third, numerous penalties followed on both sides.
Five minutes before the end, Klostersee sensed the dawn again with Joseph Leonidas goal to make it 4:3, took the goalkeeper off the ice for a sixth field player - and promptly conceded the 5:3 through Jason Lavallee.
Klostersee was able to score again.
But Landsberg saved the narrow lead over time and thus secured the second win of the still young season.
It continues next weekend with the away game on Friday in Garmisch against SC Riessersee and on Sunday with the home game against Deggendorfer SC.
The game starts at 6 p.m. each day.
