Moosrain: Keep boiling the water

The cause of the microbiological contamination of the drinking water in the water supply network of the Moosrain water supply association (ZWM) is still unclear.

District - "It's in the stars and will probably not be clarified anymore," said ZWM manager Wolfgang Haberger yesterday when asked by our newspaper.

The water in the communities of Eitting and Moosinning as well as in parts of Neuching, Oberding and Finsing must still be boiled.

The detected germs could cause diarrhea in immunocompromised people.

So far, only one sample has been conspicuous, Haberger gives the all-clear.

All other values ​​​​taken since last Thursday were unremarkable.

"The first batch was good, if the next two batches deliver the same results, we'd have the issue off the table again," says Haberger.

However, all of this takes time.

Until the district office can revoke the order, the samples must be sterile several times in the entire distribution area.

"If everything goes well, the boiling order could be withdrawn in the middle of next week," says Haberger optimistically.
