Pop diva Alla Pugacheva caused a stir with her open criticism of Putin's war in Ukraine.

Now she follows up.

Moscow – The invasion of the neighboring country is currently not going according to plan for Vladimir Putin.

In the Ukraine war, Russia is currently increasingly on the defensive.

In addition, Putin is facing criticism in Russia.

The mobilization in particular is responsible for the mass flight of young men - and a public discussion about mistakes.

Russia's pop diva Pugacheva follows up on Putin's "lackeys".

And the influential pop icon Alla Pugacheva, who is revered across generations in Russia, is also causing trouble.

As early as September, the 73-year-old publicly opposed the war in Ukraine and caused a sensation.

Now she followed up in an Instagram post.

"Oh my God!

I am so lucky that people hate me that I could never tolerate," Pugacheva wrote on Tuesday (October 4).

"If they liked me, it would mean that I sing and live for free." Who exactly the artist meant by that was not clear from the message.

She referred to these people as "footmen" who had become slaves.

In September, Pugacheva lamented that Russian soldiers were dying for "illusory goals" while the war internationally ostracized Russia.

Her words found a wide echo.

She also expressed solidarity with her husband Maxim Galkin, a famous comedian in exile in Israel who had been classified as a "foreign agent" by the Russian Justice Ministry.

Political scientist Abbas Galliamov, once the speechwriter for Russian President Putin, spoke at the time of a "strong slap in the face" for the Kremlin.

"If there are still important people in the country about whom there is a consensus, then of course it is Pugacheva," he wrote via Telegram at the time.

And thus showed the importance of the statement in Russia.

There were more than 20,000 comments under Pugacheva's new post by Tuesday afternoon (October 4) - with encouragement, but also the question of why she was only speaking out now.

The 73-year-old is considered a superstar in her home country.
