In autumn, the fair season in North Rhine-Westphalia is far from over - there are dates in October, for example, in Cologne, Krefeld or Münster.
An overview.
Cologne – While the leaves are changing color again and autumn is slowly coming to North Rhine-Westphalia, folk festivals and fairs are still taking place in numerous regions.
In Cologne, for example, the fair in Cologne-Junkersdorf starts in September, in October the fair in Chorweiler and two weeks later the fair in Deutz.
But also in other NRW cities, visitors can enjoy the fair feeling again in October, reports 24RHEIN.

Cologne fair: Deutz autumn fair begins on October 28, 2022
Not only in autumn, but also around Easter there is a fair at the Deutz shipyard (archive picture).

In October, the Deutz fair begins again, which is considered the highlight of the folk festival in Cologne.
Dozens of rides and snack bars are lined up next to each other on the Deutz shipyard site directly on the Rhine.
The Ferris wheel is also particularly popular there - from there passengers have a wonderful view of the skyline of Cologne, including Cologne Cathedral.

Fair NRW: Sim Jü in Werne - start on October 22nd
The "Sim Jü" fair in Werne has been celebrated since market rights were granted in 1362 and is considered the largest folk festival on the Lippe.
This year the fair is to take place from October 22nd to 25th.
The "Sim-Jü" is also known as the "Simon-Juda-Markt".

Fair in NRW 2022: Autumn evening in Münster on the Schlossplatz
Year after year, dozens of visitors flock to the Send in Münster.
On the 32,000 square meter fairground on the Schlossplatz, funfair fans will again find food stalls, amusement rides and fairground rides.
Incidentally, the Send in Münster takes place three times a year – in spring, summer and autumn.
The autumn end begins on October 22nd.
