The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed that the United States is seeking to remove Russia from the European energy market.

On the other hand, Tyapkin expressed his country's appreciation for Austria's offer to mediate in the Ukrainian crisis, stressing at the same time that such efforts are meaningless.
In response to a question about whether Moscow considers Austria a neutral country that can represent Ukraine’s interests in Russia, and the possibility of possible Austrian mediation, Tyapkin said: “Austria has supported all sanctions measures against Russia, and contributed to the organized campaign to expel Russian diplomats, so its neutrality is eroding, Against this background, any talk of honest mediation services loses its meaning.”
