The crisis with Lebanon is worsening:

a senior political official announced today (Thursday) that Prime Minister Yair Lapid rejects Lebanon's comments to the agreement.

The State of Israel accepted Lebanon's comments on the draft agreement.

Prime Minister Yair Lapid was updated on the details of the new substantial changes that Lebanon is seeking to make in the agreement, and ordered the negotiating team to reject them.

Prime Minister Lapid made it clear that Israel will not compromise its security and economic interests in any way, even if it means that there will be no agreement soon.

According to publications in Lebanon, among other things, the Lebanese government demands to change the clause in the agreement that recognizes the "buoyed line" - a line that Israel unilaterally stretched and constitutes its de facto security border at sea.

The line, which extends a few kilometers from the head called into the sea, goes north beyond the maritime border which, according to the agreement, is supposed to pass along "line 23".

"Nasrallah will have to provide explanations to Lebanon"

The senior official added: "Israel will produce gas from the Harish rig as soon as this becomes possible. If Hezbollah or anyone else tries to damage the Harish rig or threaten us - the negotiations on the sea line will stop immediately and Hassan Nasrallah will have to explain to the citizens of Lebanon why they do not have a gas rig and an economic future ".

Benny Gantz added: "We constantly remember the lessons of the Yom Kippur War. We must also never sin the sin of arrogance, be prepared for any scenario, and plan the counter strike or the pre-emptive strike, if required. In this context, the biggest political operative challenge Ours is on our northern border.

"These days, the government is promoting an agreement on the distribution of economic water between us and the state of Lebanon, which has economic and security effects, including damage to Iran's interests in Lebanon and the region. Whether the agreement is signed or not, we are prepared to protect our infrastructure and our sovereignty. If Hezbollah seeks to damage them - The military price that the state of Lebanon and Hezbollah will pay will be very heavy. We are not reluctant to put up a fight, but we are ready for it."
