Nagar made the changes in Gendelman's computerized diary, produced a false output and overestimated the working hours required to handle the request.

His trial is ongoing and he is suspended from his position as mayor.

A carpenter who has been working at the municipality for 28 years, remains an employee of the Hadera municipality but was transferred from the office to the engineering department.

She is expected to be fired following the conviction.



"I'm sorry, I take responsibility for what I did. I'm sorry for this moment that it happened," Orli Nagar told Judge Orit Kantor in tears at a previous hearing.

"My life was just really destroyed. My family was hurt, everything was destroyed for me."
