The Russian Foreign Ministry announced today that it has summoned the French ambassador to Moscow, Pierre Levy, to its headquarters to clarify statements about the supply of French weapons to Ukraine.
“Ambassador Levy was summoned, as Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Grushko gave preliminary assessments of military and technical support to Ukraine from France and other Western countries,” Sputnik quoted the ministry as saying in a statement.
"The Russian side noted the threats arising from the increased supply of weapons and equipment to the Kyiv regime and the intensification of training programs for training the Ukrainian army ... Special emphasis was placed on the fact that this line contradicts the assurances of officials in Paris about their interest in a peaceful settlement in Ukraine," the statement said.
France and other Western countries continue to supply the Ukrainian regime with various types of weapons, a matter that Moscow considers inflaming the ongoing war and may lead to a direct clash between Moscow and NATO.
