In music, peoples converge, converse, and present distinct musical languages ​​with human rhythms. This was presented by the Syrian National Symphony Orchestra, led by Venezuelan Maestro Gerardo Estrada Martinez.

The band hosted Venezuelan bassist and singer Ricardo Luquet among its ranks, so that his singing was part of an evening hosted by the Opera Theater at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts yesterday.

The program included a group of musical works by the most important composers from Latin America, where the band performed musical works from Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay, Spain and Colombia that blended smoothness and speed.

The band presented music for thirteen songs that became famous during the nineties, and Ricardo Luquet's singing gave some of them a distinctive atmosphere, while in others he performed solo on the bass, accompanied by the orchestra.

Maestro Martinez described working with the symphony band as enjoyable, expressing his happiness to play with distinguished musicians in a wonderful place like the Opera House, which made him feel excited and excited.

He pointed out that Latin music is not far from Arabic, but rather that they have a similar spirit, especially since Arab music arrived in Latin America from Spain, stressing his love for Syria and looking forward to a new visit accompanied by the musician and singer Ricardo Lucé.

The conductor of the Syrian National Symphony Orchestra, Maestro Misak Baghboudrian, explained that it is the second time that the orchestra has hosted Venezuelan musicians, indicating that it plays unconventional rhythms and a new musical style, which gives a different experience.

It is noteworthy that Gerardo Estrada Martinez was born in 1980, and at an early age he received an in-depth education on the violin, and later followed the study of percussion instruments. It teaches the younger generation, which it continues to do successfully on a global scale.

Martinez is considered one of the rising conductors of the orchestra on a global level and is the recipient of the Golden Rod Award in the International Orchestra Conducting Competition, and has been honored in many international competitions.
