The Professional Soccer League of Argentina reported that, after the suspension of the match between Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata and Boca Juniors due to violent incidents this Thursday, one person was reported dead.
The suspension happened at minute nine of the first half when the game was 0-0.
After a security situation at the El Bosque stadium, the referee appointed for the match on date 23 of the tournament decided to suspend it due to lack of guarantees.

The deceased person, according to the authorities, is a Fencing Gymnastics fan identified as César Gustavo Regueiro.
Both the Argentine Football Association (AFA), as well as the Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata and Boca Juniors teams have expressed themselves through their social platforms repudiating the violent events experienced in the stadium and lamenting the death of the fan.
In a press release, Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata said that it will demand an investigation to find those responsible for the violent day at the El Bosque stadium.
The club added that they complied with all security protocols established by the authorities and that there was no overselling of tickets to the match.
In addition, he repudiated the way the authorities entered the stadium.

Until now, the police of the province of Buenos Aires have not issued a statement about the events that occurred in the stadium.
