Barometer of real estate in the Yvelines: Le Vésinet, Croissy, Le Chesnay… a peak reached in the chic suburbs?

2022-10-07T04:15:07.492Z

After the sharp boost resulting from the Covid crisis, the home sales market in Yvelines seems to be at a turning point.

Our report on property prices in October

  • On the national market, the “Covid madness” falls

  • In Île-de-France, selling is becoming less and less easy

  • The Picpus district falls below 10,000 euros per square meter

  • In Saint-Cloud, 5% drop in one year

  • Saint-Ouen in slight loss of speed after breaking records

  • In Champigny, political alternation causes prices to explode

  • After two years of increase, "landing" in sight in Sannois

  • Along the RER C, the houses are taken by storm

  • With 5,000 inhabitants and a train station for Paris, Mormant, the popular countryside

  • In Compiègne, the "boom" of new apartments

The trend had been palpable for several weeks, it is confirmed at the beginning of October: the prices of houses in the Yvelines are starting to stagnate, even in places to turn downwards.

After almost fifteen years of continuous rise, and above all the last three years of vertiginous climbing, the professionals questioned in recent days confirm it almost unanimously: we would be close to a "crest line", including in municipalities which do not really know crisis.

We think of Vésinet, Croissy-sur-Seine, Chesnay-Rocquencourt or even Maisons-Laffitte where the square meter often exceeds 8,000 euros.
