Finally carnival again in Hausham.

The preparations for the Eleven Council meetings are in full swing at Crachia.

And even after that, the signs are pointing to the party.

Hausham

– The corona virus will only make it into the preliminary program for the 61st Hausham Eleven Council meeting.

In two to three minutes, the active members of Crachia want to work through what has forced the Haushamer carnival to a standstill in the past two years.

A very conscious decision, explains moderator Mats Müller when asked by our newspaper.

"This topic has taken up so much space in recent years that it doesn't have to be in the eleventh council meeting." It will be tightly packed even without a pandemic, after all, enough has happened in Hausham since 2019 apart from Corona.

Müller announces a "brutally great program" to the guests in the union building - of course he doesn't want to go into detail for reasons of tension.

Crachia chairman Alexander Thamm is also holding back.

On the other hand, he goes all out when asked about the highlights of this year's Hausham carnival season.

In addition to the four Eleven Council meetings on Friday, November 11 (with the enthronement of the royal couple), Saturday, 12, Friday, 18 and Saturday, November 19 (each at 8 p.m.), Crachia is planning a whole series of other foolish events: the masked wine festival on Saturday, January 28th, the children's carnival on Saturday, February 4th, the Tiger Ball on Saturday, February 18th (in the trade union building) as well as the finale, the Ramba Zamba on Carnival Sunday, February 19th, on the station forecourt.

Only the fans of the carnival parade will have to wait another year.

That was decided together with the other participating clubs, explains Thamm.

Crachia hosts Guard meetings for the first time

Meanwhile, another event is on the carnival calendar in Hausham for the first time: on Saturday, November 11, the Crachia has the honor of hosting the guards meeting of the Upper Bavarian State Association in the German Carnival Association.

70 clubs would show their dancing skills here in the union house.

For now, however, the focus is on the Eleven Council meetings.

In any case, the preparations are in full swing, the individual groups are already rehearsing diligently.

"The anticipation is gigantic," enthuses Müller.

It was fueled over the summer by the club life that was finally erupting again, which Crachia accompanied with many appearances - most recently at the "Hausham Moves" day of action co-initiated by Müller in 2021.

Mayor Jens Zangenfeind also knows that the real reward for the difficult training of the guards with many children and young people is always the magnificent Eleven Council meeting.

"They rehearse all year round in order to be able to deliver top performances here." Whether the meetings at the start or the carnival procession at the end of the foolish time: Crachia can be sure of the 100 percent support of the community.

"It is important that a certain normality finally returns," says Zangenfeind.

Advance ticket sales for the time being with limited capacity

That's what Crachia tries to do.

Nevertheless, you can still exercise a little caution when buying tickets in advance.

Although a fully occupied hall would now be possible, only 50 percent of the seats will be allocated for the time being, explains Müller.

The participants could already secure tickets on Sunday, October 16, from 5 p.m.

The public advance sale will then start on Monday, October 17th.

According to Müller, anyone who gets nothing can be put on a waiting list.

"If everything stays the way it is, which of course we very much hope, we will allocate the second half of the places soon after the event."

As if there weren't enough good reasons for visiting the 61st Eleven Council meeting, which has been postponed twice, the mayor mentions another, more pragmatic point: the new level crossing.

"The meetings are now much more accessible because you no longer have to wait 12 to 14 minutes at the barrier."
