Otzma Yehudit intends to send 30 right-wing activists to the polling stations in the sector • "We will not set the area on fire"

In 30 polling stations in the Arab sector, a tense atmosphere is expected in the upcoming elections.

MK Itamar Ben Gabir's Otzma Yehudit party intends to place 30 right-wing activists and hill boys at the polling stations in the Arab sector, with the aim of preventing fraud.

Sources in the party claimed: "On the right there is a fear of forgeries. There is preparation regarding forgeries in the Arab sector, it is not only related to Otzma Yehudit. Each party receives polling stations in all sectors and assigns people. We received 30 polling stations in the Arab sector, and there we decided to work in a creative way."

The party intends to place right-wing activists at the polling stations in the settlements of Rahat, Taiba, Kalanswa, Kudeirat a-Tsane (a Bedouin settlement), Dahi, Yafie, Rayna and Jesh.

The party opposes claims that members of Otzma Yehudit may "light up" the area and cause riots.

"We do not set the area on fire. On the contrary, we maintain the purity of the elections. This is also done for the benefit of the Arab public."

Party officials added that they are not afraid of violent incidents at the polling stations.

Otzma Yehudit said in response: "We do not deny that we intend to deal with counterfeiting in the sector. For this reason, we have established a special headquarters to prevent this."
