After a refusal to comply, a man opened fire on the police, the latter replied, the passenger was fatally injured during the exchange of fire.
The driver is a Moroccan national in an irregular situation and a repeat offender.
Sentenced to eight years in prison in 2012 for attempted murder of police officers, released in March 2021, he was under an arrest warrant following a new conviction for contempt, rebellion and port of prohibited weapon.
