British Prime Minister Liz Truss has dismissed Trade Minister Conor Burns from office after a complaint of "
serious misconduct
", a Downing Street spokesperson said on Friday (October 7th).
"
Following a complaint of serious misconduct, the Prime Minister has asked Conor Burns to leave the government with immediate effect
," the source said.
“
The Prime Minister took this action immediately upon learning of this allegation and is clear that all ministers should hold high standards of behavior – as the public rightly expects
,” the doorstep added. -word.
Downing Street, however, did not give any details on the charges against Conor Burns.

According to several media, Conor Burns behaved inappropriately during the Conservative conference, which was held this week in Birmingham and was marked by strong dissension within the party.
Under pressure from its majority, the Truss government notably gave up on Monday to abolish the highest tax bracket, a volte-face which weakened the Prime Minister by creating doubt about her ability to stay the course.
Liz Truss became prime minister on September 5, after taking over from Boris Johnson.
Conor Burns, 50, was Minister for Northern Ireland in Johnson's government.
He is described as an ally of the latter.
Conor Burns told The Sun
tabloid
he would "
cooperate fully with the investigation
" and was "
looking forward to clearing his name
" of the charges.

Boris Johnson had to leave office in July, having lost the confidence of several of his ministers, after a succession of crises.
