Munich “Tagesschau” presenter Karolin Kandler quits ARD for her dream job

"Tagesschau" spokeswoman Karolin Kandler (37) is said to have resigned from ARD at the end of September to start her dream job in her native Munich.

In the interview she talks about the reasons. 

Munich – Karolin Kandler (37) is said to have resigned from ARD on September 30, 2022.

The spokeswoman has only been seen as a presenter on "Tagesschau" and "Tagesschau24" since 2018.

As Bunte.de wants to know, the woman from Munich is said to have given up on ARD.

After studying business administration, Kandler went straight to television, where she initially did a traineeship at the private broadcaster münchen.tv.

Karolin Kandler has been in front of the camera for Sky Sport News HD in Munich since 2013.

Now, after more than four years with the public service, the podcaster has given up for her dream job.

If the information is correct, the 37-year-old mother switches to the Munich broadcaster ProSieben.

For the journalist, who has been back in the ARD studio since March 16 after her parental leave, it is an absolute dream job, because now the Munich native can work in her home country.

Previously, the ambassador from “Powerchild eV.” always had to commute almost 800 kilometers between Hamburg and the Bavarian capital.

"I'm really excited about the project and the brand.

Of course, I'm also happy that I no longer have to commute and that I'll be able to put my children to bed myself every night in the future," says Kandler, who used to travel 12 hours back and forth.

The presenter lives in Munich with her husband Thomas and their two children.

It was "every time like juggling several balls at the same time, hoping that nobody falls off," Kandler explained in an interview with Bunte.de.

From November, Karolin Kandler will be fluttering across the screens at ProSieben in Unterföhring.
