Among them, at about 1 a.m. today (8th), the Kowloon East Regional Anti-Triad Action Team, together with personnel from the Tactical Force, smashed an unlicensed bar in an industrial building at 23 Liu Hop Street, San Po Kong, and seized about 71 bottles of beer And 11 spirits worth about $6,000.

The man in charge of the bar surnamed Zhang (29 years old) is suspected of "selling alcoholic beverages without a license", "unlicensed possession of alcoholic beverages for sale" and violating the "Prevention and Control of Diseases (Requirements and Instructions) (Business and Premises) Regulations" Regulations (Cap. 599F); 15 males and 10 females (aged 13 to 37) were arrested for "drinking alcohol on premises without a liquor licence" and they were also charged with contravening the Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Gathering) Regulation ” (Chapter 599G) was fined.

The youngest among them is a 13-year-old girl, and all those arrested are being detained for questioning.


In addition, last night (7th), the Kowloon East Regional Special Duty Team, together with the Mobile Force, also smashed a suspected unlicensed bar in Wai Yip Street, Kwun Tong, and seized 17 bottles of table wine, 207 cans of beverages, 1 karaoke machine, 1 Set of sound system and 1 dart machine.

During the operation, two men and women (aged 30 and 40) were both arrested for "unlicensed sale of alcoholic beverages" and "unlicensed possession of alcoholic beverages for sale". They were also prosecuted for violating Cap. 599F.

Eleven men and two women (aged 23 to 45) were arrested for "drinking on premises without a liquor licence" and were fined for violating Cap. 599G.

All have been released on bail pending investigation.

Police smashed a suspected unlicensed bar on Wai Yip Street in Kwun Tong and arrested 15 people.
