In response to media enquiries, the Marine Department stated that it does not comment on matters concerning individual ships arriving in Hong Kong. On September 28, Nord left Vladivostok, originally registered as Da Nang, Vietnam, but sailed to Hong Kong on October 5.
According to information from the Marine Department, Nord departed from the Russian Far East port of Vladivostok, arrived at the port at 4:14 pm on October 5, and berthed at the "Western Quarantine and Entry Vessel Anchorage", that is, the waters between Kennedy Town and Tsing Yi.
The ship's agent is Lodestone Corporation Limited located in Wong Chuk Hang.
Nord has no record of ships departing in the next 36 hours.
At present, all vessels arriving in Hong Kong must notify the Marine Department in writing no less than 24 hours before arrival and obtain permission, and provide information such as the flag, purpose of arrival, and the name of the insurance provider.
