The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its forces had targeted, during the past 24 hours, dozens of Ukrainian military sites and installations, including command centers and weapons depots, in addition to shooting down a helicopter and four marches.
Ministry spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov said in a press briefing today that two battalions of the Ukrainian army carried out an unsuccessful attempt to attack the Kobyansk-Kharkov axis, and Russian forces on that axis eliminated more than 80 Ukrainian elements, and destroyed a German-made self-propelled gun with a stock of high-precision ammunition, Russian forces also blocked the Ukrainian attack on the Krasnyi Lyman axis north of Donetsk.
Konashenkov added that the Ukrainian forces tried to launch an attack on the Nikolaev Krivoy Rog axis in Kherson, but were forced to return to their original positions, while Russian forces eliminated more than 300 soldiers from the tactical group of the 60th Infantry Brigade in the Kherson region.
Konashenkov indicated that the operations of the Russian army resulted in the killing of more than 100 soldiers with air strikes on the sites of three Ukrainian brigades in Donetsk, in addition to the destruction of a missile and artillery repair workshop in the Khmelnitsky district of western Ukraine, and the destruction of two ammunition depots, missiles and artillery weapons near the city of Zaporozhye.
Konashenkov announced that the Russian forces had shot down a Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter in Donetsk, destroyed four drones in separate areas, and dropped 21 "Himars and Olkha" rocket launchers and four "HARM" anti-radar missiles in Kherson Province.
According to Konashenkov, since the beginning of the special military operation, 315 Ukrainian fighters, 158 helicopters, 2,164 drones, 379 anti-aircraft missile systems, 5,448 tanks and other armored vehicles, 862 rocket launchers, 3,453 pieces of field artillery and mortars and 6,360 special military vehicles have been destroyed.
