Wild boar runs through daycare – then it bites elderly woman while gardening

A very heavy boar has mackerel through Schwandorf.

The animal rampaged and attacked two people.

An elderly woman lost a lot of blood as a result.

Schwandorf – A wild boar caused quite a stir in Schwandorf on Wednesday (October 5).

Several reports were received by the police.

Witnesses reported that the wild boar would riot in the urban area and attack people.

The first report came in around 4 p.m. that the boar was said to be in a daycare center and then ran into a construction site next door.

"There the boar also attacked construction workers," the police said.

Other witnesses reported the adult wild boar running across town.

"The police immediately started a search for the boar with four patrol crews and informed the responsible hunting tenant." On its foray, the animal attacked an 83-year-old senior woman who was busy gardening.

The boar bit the woman in the thigh and injured her "not inconsiderably".

According to the police, the 83-year-old lost a lot of blood.

She was treated directly by the officers and taken to a clinic.

Luckily, the injuries were only minor, despite the loss of blood.

The boar disappeared again after the attack.

Eventually, passersby informed the police that the 150-200 kilogram wild boar swam through the Naab near the ring road and disappeared back into the forest.

Wild boar attack: how do I behave correctly?

A boar will only attack when it feels cornered.

This is often the case in urban areas.

People who meet a boar should not stand in its way, but offer it opportunities to escape.

If this is too late because the boar has already started panting, there is only one thing left to do: make yourself as big as possible and clap your hands.

So make yourself noticed by all means.

According to experts, the wild boar then usually disappears again.
