The pilot dies.
Now the police are giving more details.
Update from Tuesday, October 4th, 9:58 a.m .:
After the fatal plane crash near Michaelstadt in southern Hesse, the police announced further details.
Accordingly, the deceased pilot was a 66-year-old from North Rhine-Westphalia.
The accident pilot, a Cessna 215, took off from the airfield in Vielbrunn, flew over a forest area and, according to previous information, successfully let six parachutists into the air.
Subsequently, according to the police, the fatal plane crash in southern Hesse could have resulted in a technical fault on the light aircraft.
Whether this suspicion is confirmed remains to be seen in the coming weeks.
The public prosecutor's office in Darmstadt has taken over the investigation.

Another plane crash occurred in Hesse.
According to the police, on Monday (October 3rd) around 2 p.m., a machine fell to the ground in the forest area between Eulbach and Vielbrunn (Odenwaldkreis).
Rescue workers would have recovered a dead person.
According to information from the
Hessischer Rundfunk
, the plane took off from the airfield at Vielbrunn in Michelstadt.
The pilot and some hobby parachutists were on board.
After the parachutists dropped, the plane had technical problems and then crashed.
The Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation was informed immediately after the crash and began investigating the cause of the crash.
The police said there may be traffic delays on the nearby B47, country road 3318 and country road 3349.
Plane crash in Hesse: salvage work lasts until the evening hours
The investigation and rescue work is expected to last until late in the evening.
