Numerous fatal accidents and many serious injuries in Bavaria: Weekend with a tragic traffic balance

At the weekend there was a crash in many places in Bavaria - several people died.
A sad result for the Free State - but there was also some luck.
Neuhaus an der Pegnitz – In addition to the mixed weather, the past weekend, from Friday, October 7th to Sunday, October 9th, also brought a sad balance sheet in Bavaria: Many traffic accidents, some of them serious, claimed the lives of at least five people.
Others were seriously injured.
In Neuhaus an der Pegnitz there was a bit of luck in misfortune.
Fatal accidents in Bavaria: a driverless tractor drives across the playground
In Neuhaus an der Pegnitz (Nuremberg Land district), a 36-year-old tractor driver and his trailer got stuck in a railway underpass at lunchtime.
He was thrown out of the driver's cab.
He died at the scene of the accident, the police said on Saturday, October 8th.
The subsequently driverless tractor then drove with its trailer across a playground – fortunately, however, there were no children there at the time, and apart from the driver no one was injured.

On Sunday, a 26-year-old motorcyclist died in an accident near Untergriesbach, Passau district.
According to various witness statements, he had already attracted attention before the accident with several overtaking manoeuvres, the last of which was his undoing.
In the opposite lane, he crashed into the car of a 50-year-old, he died immediately. The driver and two other occupants were slightly injured and were taken to the hospital.

Several people killed in accidents in Bavaria
In Plattling (Deggendorf district), another truck driver lost his life in an accident.
According to the police press release, he left the road for reasons that have not yet been clarified and then fell onto his side in a field.
Despite immediately initiated resuscitation measures, the 57-year-old died on Friday at the scene of the accident.

An accident with double death also occurred in the district of Augsburg.
In Thierhaupten, a 29-year-old driver and his 20-year-old passenger left the road, probably due to increased speed.
They hit a barn wall and were trapped in the vehicle.
The driver then died at the scene of the accident, and the passenger a short time later in the hospital.
Seriously injured in other accidents - curious arrest in Rosenheim
In several other accidents in Bavaria, numerous people were injured, some seriously.
For example in Streitberg, which is part of Wiesenttal in Upper Franconia (Forchheim district).
At a motocross race, a 58-year-old marshal stepped onto the track for an unknown reason - and collided with a 26-year-old motocross rider.
Both were taken to the hospital with serious head injuries.
Another serious accident also occurred early on Sunday morning at the entrance to Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm.
The 25-year-old driver of a BMW went off the road at probably increased speed, crashed into several trees and was trapped in his vehicle.
After his rescue, he was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

In the meantime, there was a curious traffic control in the Rosenheim district.
After a much too fast swerve through Raubling, the 43-year-old driver was reported for driving under the influence of drugs.
His 22-year-old son was also in the back seat.
There was already an arrest warrant against him – also for driving under the influence of drugs.
