Two teenagers were arrested after authorities reported that they allegedly fired 100 shots at "the wrong house," killing an innocent woman and wounding another person.

The shooting occurred around 1:30 am Tuesday at a San Antonio home.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar reported that deputies were patrolling the neighborhood when they heard a series of gunshots and saw a vehicle "fleeing the area at high speed."

The car was eventually stopped and two suspects, ages 14 and 15, were arrested, Salazar said at a news conference.

Both teens were charged with first-degree murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, the sheriff said in an update Saturday.

The 15-year-old was also charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and the 14-year-old with evading arrest.

"I don't think they show any kind of remorse," the sheriff said of the suspects.

Salazar added that he believes the teens "came to this location and did a drive-by shooting" and "hit the wrong house."

Novita Brazil, 25, was murdered.

The sheriff claimed that Brazil was in her bedroom working when the suspects fired more than 100 rounds of shots into her home.

A second woman, who was an Airbnb guest staying in one of the bedrooms, was injured by the gunshots.

Salazar said both were "completely innocent."

“We have a pretty heartbreaking scene.

Frankly, it shocks the conscience to know what happened here,” she emphasized.

The house next to Brazil's could have been the intended target, the sheriff said.

During the shooting, three teenagers armed with handguns and an AR-15 came out of the house and "began to indiscriminately spray the neighborhood with gunfire in an effort to shoot those two suspects," Salazar added.

The teens, ages 17, 15 and 14, were arrested Friday and charged with deadly conduct with a firearm.

Authorities believe the suspect vehicle and weapons may have been stolen.

Salazar reported that there could be more arrests.

It is unclear if the teens will be charged as adults or if they have obtained attorneys.
