Tehran-Sana
Today, the Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned the British ambassador to Tehran for the third time in the past three weeks, following Britain's imposition of a unilateral embargo against Iran.
And the Iranian IRNA news agency reported that after Britain announced the imposition of a unilateral and baseless ban against a number of officials and one of Iran's institutions, the Director-General of the Western European Department in the Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned the British ambassador to Tehran, Simon Shercliff, and informed him of Iran's strong protest against his country's interference in internal affairs. These interventions were strongly condemned, and Iran reserves the right to respond in kind to this measure.
The Director-General of the West Asia Department of the Iranian Foreign Ministry stressed that the foundations of the unilateral ban announced by Britain are distorted, and lack any value for the Islamic Republic of Iran.
It is noteworthy that this is the third time that the British ambassador has been summoned to the Iranian Foreign Ministry during the last three weeks.
