On October 18th and 19th it's that time again: Then the organizing team of "Reorientation zero-eight 12" in Peißenberg will invite you to the 4th edition of the "Job Event".

The job and training fair has around 300 vacancies to offer this year.

Due to the high demand from exhibitors, the event location had to be changed.

Peißenberg – Last year the “Job Event” took place in the underground hall with around 50 exhibiting companies.

The spatial capacities were thus fully utilised.

The lectures accompanying the trade fair, for example, had to be outsourced to the “Flöz” community centre.

Not exactly optimal, especially since 60 exhibitors have registered this year: "We have made a good push up again in terms of numbers," explains Nicola Schackmann, who, together with Sabine Ostermann and Katharina Panholzer, under the label "Reorientation null-eight 12" acts as organizer.

There is also speed dating again

As a new location, the municipality will not provide the underground hall, but the double gymnasium in Wörth.

The lectures take place on the grandstands of the Glück-auf-Turnhalle.

“The proximity to the school center is totally appropriate.

Everything is in one place," says Schackmann.

600 students have already registered for the second day of the event, which is reserved for schools alone.

Equalizing the two days is also a conceptual innovation: “We can use it to better address the different target groups.

And for the companies, the days are not so long,” explains Schackmann.

On Tuesday, October 18, the job and training fair will be open to the public from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for job-seeking professionals, parents, students and anyone interested.

Between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. there will also be the “Speed Dating” format again.

This year the Starnberg Hotel Four Seasons, the Ecumenical Social Centre, TQ-Systems-GmbH, V-Markt and Xylem Analytics will take part.

There are also 60 exhibitors, most of whom come from the region.

From A like Aerotech to Z like Zarges

"The lack of employees and skilled workers is a topic that I am often confronted with in my talks with company representatives," reports Mayor Frank Zellner.

The job event would create an important offer for students, citizens and companies for professional orientation - especially with regard to regional jobs.

"This is how you bring job offers and demand together without having to commute later." According to Zellner, regional jobs would strengthen the domestic infrastructure, local purchasing power and club life.

The 60 exhibiting companies (from A for Aerotech to Z for Zarges) represent a diverse professional spectrum.

We are looking for technical and manual staff, engineers, IT specialists as well as office and administrative staff.

Specialists are also needed in the hotel and restaurant sector as well as in the health and care sector: "There is something for everyone - even for career changers and part-time staff," announces Schackmann for the job fair.

There would not be any concrete statistics, but based on the experience of previous job events, there would be "many contacts and recruitments" in the course of the events.

Incidentally, extra interpreters were hired for the job event for Ukrainian refugees.

The event on Tuesday can be visited free of charge without registration.
