Lebanese negotiator Elias Bou Saab said tonight (Tuesday) that Lebanon has received the final draft of the maritime border agreement with Israel, and that it meets all its requirements, and may soon lead to a "historic agreement" - as reported by Reuters.
"If everything goes well, the efforts of Amos Hochstein may lead to a historic deal," Bo Saab said a few hours after receiving the final draft from Hochstein, the American official who brokered the agreement between the countries.
"We feel that the draft takes into account all of Lebanon's requirements, and we believe that the other side should also feel the same way," Bo Saab said.

Yesterday, the American mediator Amos Hochstein delivered the final text of the agreement to the two countries.
This is a revised version after some changes following the explosion in the negotiations a few days ago, due to Israel's refusal to accept the Lebanese comments.
Hochstein is now waiting for an official response from Lebanon and Israel.
The Americans made it clear that this was a final text and that no further negotiations would take place.
A senior American added in a conversation with Walla: "We are very close to an agreement."
Earlier in the day, Lebanese President Michel Awan said that he "hopes to complete all the arrangements concerning the negotiations on the maritime border in the coming days."
On Sunday, the Lebanese president spoke with the American mediator and discussed negotiations with him.
The office of the President of Lebanon stated that Lebanon will thoroughly study the final draft before making a decision.
