Awareness activity on the importance of early detection of breast cancer in Al-Hasakah

The Syrian Medical Association in Al-Hasakah, in cooperation with the Health Directorate and a number of NGOs, organized an awareness event on the importance of early detection of breast cancer, as part of the national campaign to raise awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer.

The event, which was held at the association's center in the center of Hasaka, included a series of lectures by specialists in oncology and hematology, focusing on the importance of early detection of infection to contribute to its treatment before the disease exacerbates.

Dr. Samar Al-Somai, the director of projects at the Syrian Medical Society, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the event comes within the framework of awareness, providing women and girls with information about the mechanism of self-examination for early detection of breast cancer, explaining the prevention mechanism, treatment and the importance of visiting specialized centers and obtaining free services that Its progress throughout the year and detection of the disease in its early stages, and its importance in the high rates of cure and treatment.

Al-Somai pointed out that women and girls participating in the events have a major role in spreading what they have gained of information and prevention methods among women and girls and trying to influence them to conduct self-examinations of the breasts, and to review centers to check on their health periodically, and not to neglect the disease.

The Reproductive Health Officer in the Al-Hasakah Health Directorate, Dr. Samar Al-Mushrif, said: The event is part of the activities that are held in partnership with the Al-Hasakah Health Directorate to spread awareness among women and girls about the importance of early detection of breast cancer, and activities and events will be intensified throughout the current month by setting up a program of events , aims to reach the largest possible number of women and girls to reduce infection and treatment in the first stage.
