A month after the sinkhole opened near Azrieli Mall, the Ayalon Routes Company is conducting inspections in the area and some of the lanes will be blocked.

A month has passed since the sinkhole opened in Ayalon lanes, near the Shalom Interchange and the Azrieli Mall, but it turns out that despite the closure of the sinkhole - it will still affect the travel of all of us or at least those who pass through Gush Dan in the coming week.

The Ayalon Routes Company announced today (Tuesday) that starting tomorrow night, from 10:00 p.m., for 24 hours, there will be a hermetic blockade at the exit ramp to the Peace Interchange in the direction of Ayalon South for tests to monitor the ground between the Arlozorov Interchange and the Peace Interchange.

As mentioned, as part of the ground inspection works and preparation for the full opening of the exit ramp from the Peace Interchange in Ayalon South, follow-up inspections will be carried out to monitor the ground, and as part of them, traffic regulations will be applied between Wednesday and Thursday.

As mentioned, the entrance ramp from the Arlozorov interchange in the direction of Ayalon South will be hermetically blocked on Wednesday from 10:00 PM until Thursday at 5:00 AM.

The right lane between the Arlozorov Interchange and the Peace Interchange will be blocked between Wednesday night and Thursday from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the next day.

It will not be possible to exit from Ayalon South to the Shalom Interchange, but entry to Ayalon South will be possible at the Shalom Interchange.

With the end of the opening tests for traffic on Thursday, the exit ramp at the Shalom Interchange towards Ayalon South will open in its current form.

In other words, the eastern lane on the exit ramp from the Shalom Interchange in Ayalon South will be opened to traffic.

Also, entry to the Azrieli parking lot will be allowed for those coming from the Peace Interchange.

However, the western lane on the ramp, adjacent to the construction site of Azrieli's spiral building, will remain closed until we verify that the existing water flow does not endanger road users.

The works are coordinated with the police who will be present at the site and are carried out at night in order to make it easier for the drivers and minimize the inconvenience, when the traffic will be diverted to parallel roads.
