During the operation, officers arrested a 20-year-old person surnamed Huang Nan and a 21-year-old person surnamed Chen Nan in two units respectively, on suspicion of "unlicensed sale of alcoholic beverages" and violation of the "Prevention and Control of Diseases (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulations (Cap. 599F).
Separately, 16 local men and 11 local women, aged between 17 and 43, were arrested on suspicion of "drinking on premises without a liquor license".
They also violated the Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Gathering) Regulation (Cap. 599G), and fixed penalty notices were issued to them.
During the operation, officers seized 1,823 cans of beer, 3 bottles of foreign wine, a batch of audio-visual equipment and bar equipment.
All arrested persons have been released on bail pending investigation.
It is understood that Anle Industrial Building is one of the concentration of unlicensed bars in the district. During peak hours, there are several unlicensed bars operating, most of which are controlled by gangsters.
