"Just not there anymore": Construction company for fiber optic expansion suddenly disappeared

The fiber optic projects from provider Goetel in Niestetal and Nieste (Kassel district) are stagnating.
"The construction company is simply not there anymore," says one mayor.
Niestetal/Nieste – There may be delays in fiber optic expansion in Niestetal-Sandershausen and Nieste (Kassel district).
Apparently, the Spanish civil engineering company commissioned by Goetel has disappeared.
"The construction company is simply not there anymore," Niestetal's Mayor Marcel Brückmann told the HNA.
On the negative side: "Because of unsecured construction sites, we urgently ask that you be very careful in the streets Spiekershäuser Straße, Theodor-Heuss-Straße, Hugo-Preuß-Straße, Fuldablick, Am Dachsacker, Schöne Aussicht, Am Liethberg, Bergstraße and Waldstraße," says Brückmann.
Goetel wants to defuse the danger points from Friday morning (October 14th).
Niestetal and Nieste: "The workers were gone, then the machines"
Brückmann is surprised by the disappearance of the construction company, Nieste's mayor Klaus Missing reacts almost disillusioned: "I haven't heard anything about it, but I wouldn't rule it out." The day before, Missing had complained about the Goetel company, especially about the communication .
Apparently, the Spanish civil engineering company that was supposed to take over the fiber optic expansion in Niestetal and Nieste has disappeared.

In Niestetal, a resident claims to have observed customs officials, but this has not yet been confirmed.
Customs officers show up when illegal employment relationships are suspected.
"First the workers were gone, then the machines," says the man from Niestetal.
So far, Goetel has not received an answer despite repeated inquiries.
“A rapid expansion of the fiber optic network has been targeted for our community,” says Brückmann.
