After the serious incidents that occurred in French stadiums last season, Alain Bauer, professor of criminology at the Conservatory of Arts and Crafts, was asked to deliver proposals in terms of security in the enclosures and supervision of supporters.
After around fifty interviews with various professional football officials, the academic presented, at the end of September, the first leads to the board of directors of the Professional Football League (LFP).
The project manager sums up the philosophy:
“You have to consider that supporters are partners and not adversaries.
Re-establishing dialogue is an essential element.
The general idea is not to be more punitive, but to avoid having to become so.
