Ringo Starr has canceled the rest of his North American tour after testing positive for COVID-19 again.
The former Beatles drummer tweeted Thursday that he was "shocked" by his positive test result.
On October 3, the musician postponed several dates of his Canadian and US tour after being diagnosed with covid-19, before tweeting on Monday that he was "back on the road" after a negative test.
On Thursday, however, the 82-year-old musician told his fans: "I'm sure you'll be as surprised as I am that I've tested positive for covid again."
"The rest of the tour is cancelled," he added, ending with his trademark "peace and love."

The remaining dates of the tour were planned in California and Mexico.
In June, two members of his All Starr Band, Edgar Winter and Steve Lukather, tested positive for the virus, forcing 12 concert dates to be rescheduled.
These performances were originally planned for 2020.
