Frank Kramer remains coach at FC Schalke 04 for the time being. The 50-year-old led the training of the newly promoted Bundesliga team on Saturday, who suffered their fourth defeat in a row on Friday in a 3-0 (2-0) loss to TSG Hoffenheim.
According to dpa information, those responsible want to wait for the next two games in the cup on Tuesday in Hoffenheim and next weekend in the Bundesliga at Hertha BSC.
Gelsenkirchen – Kramer, who only came in the summer, has been under a lot of pressure since the 4-0 loss at Bayer Leverkusen last week.
Head of sport Rouven Schröder announced after the game that he would "enter into the analysis".
In the talks on Saturday, the bosses around Schröder and sporting director Peter Knäbel rated the committed performance of the team in the first half against Hoffenheim as progress.
“We made it clear that we wanted a clear response.
The team showed this reaction,” Schöder said on Friday after the game.
The coming week should now show whether this can lead to a trend reversal.
