Twelve hours after its publication, Gilbert Collard's tweet is still online.
It would be surprising, however, to imagine that the MEP Reconquête (formerly a member of the National Rally) missed out on the controversy sparked on social networks.
In a tweet published this Saturday morning, the elected official decided to ostensibly mock the dress of the deputy LFI Ségolène Amiot, who had intervened at the microphone this week in the hemicycle.

“Look at this deputy Nupes who gives of her person for transparency in the chamber!
“, he wrote above a photo of the chosen one.
No need to draw a picture, Gilbert Collard therefore took the time, on a Saturday, to comment on the transparency of a fabric worn by an elected official of the nation to make fun of her.
Gilbert Collard assumes
Obviously, this tweet triggered the anger of the elected members of the left-wing coalition in the Assembly.
“Perverse, sexist, disrespectful.
In short, you are Gilbert Collard, ”commented the rebellious deputy Louis Boyard.
The deputy member of the environmental group Aurélien Taché welcomed the fact that Gilbert Collard no longer sits in the National Assembly.
For Sandrine Rousseau, Gilbert Collard “has nothing more to say and it's starting to show”.
Perverse, sexist, disrespectful.
In short, you are indeed Gilbert Collard.

Unanimous remarks which do not seem to disturb the main interested party more than that, in a new tweet published five hours later, Gilbert Collard takes absolutely nothing away from his attack.
“After the delirious interpretation of my tweet on the transparent outfit of a Nupes deputy in the Assembly, I thank those who insulted me: it brightened my day!, he writes.
Thank you, if you can, for continuing to give me this pleasure!
And a little outfit!
“, he concludes, in tune with his time.
