The head of the French opposition National Front party, Marine Le Pen, criticized the statements of the European Union Commissioner for Foreign and Security Policy Josep Borrell about the reaction of Western countries in the event of (the use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine).
"We must maintain diplomacy because Borrell's statements tell us that if he makes decisions on our behalf, France will indeed be dragged into the conflict," RIA Novosti news agency quoted Le Pen as saying.
Le Pen pointed out that Borrell, according to his statements, is not aimed at ending the crisis and searching for ways to resolve the situation peacefully throughout Ukraine.
Le Pen urged the French authorities to be careful about the various statements so as not to be drawn into the conflict.
The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov indicated earlier that Western countries are trying to introduce nuclear discourse into circulation, even though Russia does not threaten to use nuclear weapons.
It is noteworthy that Le Pen confirmed a few days ago that the United States of America is working to weaken Europe, noting that the energy sanctions imposed on Russia harm the European Union countries more.
