The crew of the ADAC rescue helicopter Christoph 1 had an unusual mission these days at Munich Airport.
Airport - The crew of Christoph 1 is used to complicated flight manoeuvres.
Stationed at the Harlaching Clinic, the ADAC air rescue helicopter rescues mountaineers who have had an accident in the Alps or even lands at accident sites in bad weather.
This mission took place in the best of weather, and was still not entirely trivial for the pilot.
During the landing of a passenger plane at Munich Airport, a passenger suddenly fainted, an internal emergency.
Christoph 1 was requested to bring an emergency doctor to the patient quickly.
The tower guided him through the taking off and landing machines on both runways while flight operations were ongoing, the rescue organization said.

"Operations at airports pose a challenge for everyone involved: the tower assigns the rescue helicopter a point from where a follow-me vehicle shows the way to the parking position," says the ADAC air rescue service.
On the way there, landing and runways may only be crossed after clearance.
So it could happen that the rescue helicopter has to wait hovering between the runways until the planes have completed their landing procedures.
"A situation that requires the utmost concentration from both air traffic controllers and our pilots," writes the ADAC.
Finally, Christoph 1 landed next to the machine.
After the first aid, the Malteser-Hilfsdienst drove the woman to the hospital.
